Fashion and storytelling go hand-in-hand if done the right way.
Well, Hollywood’s sweetheart Zendaya surely knows the path to success in fashion, where the style icon transformed the streets of Rome into her personal runway.
But not with one, but with two breathtaking archival Italian looks that celebrated the rich legacy of luxury fashion, with the right notes of methodical dressing.Zendaya paid tribute to the ‘Spider-Man’ film history and stepped out in vintage creations from Giorgio Armani and Versace.
She was styled by her long-time collaborator Law Roach, who released a series of images on social media and wrote, “We only wear Italian when in Italy." For her Rome spree, she first dazzled in a vintage Versace outfit from the label’s Fall/Winter 1997 collection.
Zendaya went for a striking two-piece ensemble featuring a shimmery red sequinned crop top with broad straps and a square neckline, paired with a glittery mini skirt.
Decorated with stunning sequins and contrasting red detailing along the hemline, this playful and graceful superhero signature suit look was as if made for just her.She completed the look with sleek, white, pointy pumps and kept an understated accessory charm with simple stud earrings and a beautiful wristwatch.
Looking radiant as ever, Zendaya went in with her sleek pixie hairstyle with dramatic side-swept fringes and completed the charming look with glossy nude lips.
For the evening event, she elevated the fashion narrative with a memorable archival piece and chose to slay in a vintage Giorgio Armani gown from the designer’s Spring 1990 collection.
This look was a direct reference to Spider-Man’s most recognisable symbols, i.e., the spiderweb.
She wore a sleeveless gown with a sheer nude-toned foundation embellishment, decked out with an intricate beading arrangement that looked like a delicate web-like pattern.
The intricate embroidery extended from the hem to the neckline, created geometric arcs across the dress, and was elegantly wrapped around her bodice.
She also wore a small jewelled spider accent detail positioned right at the waistline, which looked like a clever finishing motif.
She completed the look with sparkling pointy heels and delicate drop earrings from Tiffany & Co. and did not for a second allow her accessories to take the lead.
Embracing the vintage inspiration, she styled her hair in a sculpted finger-wave bob, which was popular during the 1920s, and went with a defined, cheekbone-style nude-makeup show.
Zendaya's superb combination of vintage craftsmanship and present-day celebrity style highlights her unparalleled ability to provide standard-setting examples of ageless glamour.
Once again, she has demonstrated her status as one of Hollywood's most influential examples of dressing at a generational level.Get the latest lifestyle news and trends.
