The house belongs to Mariyakutty of Muthuplackal, Sinkukandam, Chinnakanal.
The incident came to light on Tuesday morning when Mariyakutty returned from her son Santhosh's house in Sinkukandam.The elephant also damaged cardamom cultivation on the property.
This is the second time within a year that a wild elephant destroyed Mariyakutty's house.
Following the earlier incident, she struggled to construct another house for shelter.
However, that house too has now been completely destroyed by the elephant.As the land is an unassigned possession land without a title deed, Mariyakutty is not eligible for compensation.
