The reservation was booked under Samir Xaud’s name and cost a whopping $11,500.The two were reportedly spotted dining together and even left the venue in a car that is being alleged to have been paid through the federation.To make matters worse, Samir Xaud reportedly flew to Mexico where he joined his wife for the FIFA World Cup opening ceremony.While Samir Xaud has not reacted to the allegations yet, the Brazilian Football Confederation has strictly denied this.According to Brazilian news outlet Portal Leo Dias, a report reads as, “The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) rejects the information regarding the alleged misuse of the entity’s funds published today by the Léo Dias portal.”The report added, “Expenses incurred by the entity are exclusively linked to the CBF’s institutional activities, and personal expenses of its directors are covered by themselves.” While Samir Xaud did step away from the spotlight for a few days, he was present at Brazil’s win against Haiti.Get the latest Sports News and Live updates.
