When tradition and compassion come together

Actor Richa Chadha has joined hands with PETA India and Compassion Unlimited Plus Action (CUPA) to donate a life-size mechanical elephant, Neela Prabha, to Shri Chayadevi Shri Shanaishwara Swamy Kshetra in Bengaluru.

The initiative recognises the temple's compassionate decision to never own or hire live elephants for rituals and processions.

Richa said she was pleased to be associated with an initiative that helps preserve temple traditions while ensuring that real elephants are spared from captivity and allowed to thrive in their natural habitats.

Neela Prabha is the 28th robotic elephant donation facilitated by PETA India across the country and the ninth in Karnataka, reflecting a growing move towards adopting cruelty-free alternatives in religious and cultural practices.Read the latest Entertainment News and Celebrity updates.
