Despite easing past Qatar, Bosnia-Herzegovina’s World Cup hopes hang in the balance.
Goals from Kerim Alajbegovic, an own goal from Sultan al-Brake and a third from Ermin Mahmic saw Bosnia-Herzegovina run out 3-1 winners, with Hassan Al-Haydos pulling one back for Qatar.
Qatar are eliminated, while Bosnia-Herzegovina finished third in the group on four points, level with Canada but below them due to their head-to-head record.
Bosnia-Herzegovina will now have to wait to see if they can reach the last 32 as one of the best third-placed sides.
Should they qualify, it would be the first time they’d have reached the World Cup knockout stages for the first time in their history.
