The RSCPA has issued advice to dog owners on how to prevent their pets from overheating during this period.
Last year, Inspiring Vet Care reported 355 suspected cases of heatstroke in dogs, with 66% occurring over the summer months.
Dr David Tweedle shared three essential steps for dog owners to help reduce their pets’ body temperature and potentially save their lives.
