US President Donald Trump will attend the World Cup final with his pal Gianni Infantino, the Fifa boss said Tuesday.
Infantino was speaking with Fox News when he was asked whether Trump will present the trophy to the World Cup 2026 winners.
"We will be together with the president, enjoying the final, and handing the trophy to the winner together,” Infantino said, adding, “We are together all the time."
Trump has yet to attend a World Cup event after the tournament launched on June 11 despite the US being a co-host.
Andrew Giuliani, the chief of Trump's World Cup task force, said this week that the president hasn’t attended a game yet because he wants to "leave people watching."
