    Three arrested for cattle slaughter in Khargone

    Times News NetworkKhargone: Three persons were arrested for allegedly slaughtering cattle and selling the meat in Bedia town of Khargone district.Bedia police station in-charge Rameshwar Thakur told TOI that a police team conducted a raid at a house behind the old panchayat building in Bedia on June 20 following specific information about alleged slaughter of cattle and other livestock and the sale of meat.During the search, police recovered remains of two bovines, including skulls and teeth, a live cow calf, a buffalo calf, tools allegedly used in animal slaughter and other materials, he said.Police said that the suspects fled the spot during the raid.

    Three persons, Maqsood Ali and Rashid Khan, both residents of Bedia, and Jalil Khan, a resident of Khargone were later arrested.
