Trichy: At least three burglaries and three break-ins were reported in Siruganur in Trichy district in the past ten days.
While special police teams have been formed to nab the suspects, police have advised the public to inform local stations while leaving their houses locked for days.According to sources, in three cases, miscreants broke in and stole gold, cash, and other valuables while the owners were away.
In the other three instances, the thieves searched the houses for valuables but couldn’t find anything significant.
Superintendent of police Dongare Pravin Umesh said they have intensified night patrolling in and around Siruganur.Cases have been registered under sections of BNS for house trespass and theft.
It is not clear whether the same group is behind all the incidents.
