French mystery thriller set in the aftermath of a dramatic eclipse
Certificate: 12
A solar eclipse exposes dark secrets when 17-year-old Luca accidentally shoots his girlfriend Nour. This French crime drama is set in the volcanic landscapes of the Aubrac plateau, a striking setting, albeit one that, as the series progresses, reveals old wounds and bitter rivalries lurking within its tight-knit rural community.
The two gendarmes assigned to the incident are lifelong friends Johanna and Manue (Claire Keim and Anne Charrier) and they have an easy chemistry that is always nice to see on screen. That bond will be sorely tested, though, as Manue is Luca's mother, and with her son under suspicion she is pushed to her limit to protect him. We also see into the world in which the youngsters live, and that's a sobering place. (Six episodes)
