Bengaluru: A 19-year-old student was electrocuted when the fibre stick he used to pluck tender coconuts accidentally touched a live wire on his family’s agricultural land at Kunaghatta in Gubbi, Tumakuru district, Tuesday.

The victim is K Preetam, who completed PU from a Tumakuru college.

His father, Shivaramaiah, a farmer, told police Preetam fixed a sickle to the fibre stick to pluck the coconuts. “Unfortunately, the stick shook as Preetam raised it and touched the wire,” Shivaramaiah said in his complaint. You Can Also Check: Gold Rate in Bengaluru | Silver Rate in Bengaluru | Bank Holidays in Bengaluru | Public Holidays in Bengaluru | Bengaluru AQI | Weather in Bengaluru | Petrol Price in Bengaluru | Diesel Price in Bengaluru | CNG Price in Bengaluru | LPG Price in BengaluruStay updated with the latest Bengaluru news.
