    Trichy: The Yatri Nivas accommodation facility attached to the Srirangam temple will remain closed for the next three months as the Public Works Department (PWD) will take up a major renovation project estimated at ₹9.99 crore.Officials said the maintenance work is scheduled to begin by the end of this week, following which room bookings for devotees will be suspended until the completion of the project.Spread across 6.4 acres near the banks of the Kollidam river, the facility was established in 2015 for devotees visiting the Srirangam Ranganathar temple.

    The renovation project will include structural repairs, renovation of toilets and restoration of 24 air-conditioned cottages, 40 double AC rooms, 47 ordinary rooms and 52 dormitories.
