Garhwa: Show cause notices have been served to 66 teachers of 16 +2 high schools and 20 high schools across Garhwa district for poor result in intermediate and matric examinations 2026.District education Officer (DEO) Qaiser Raza on Saturday warned them of strict action if their replies were found dissatisfactory.“The education department is taking the poor result of matric and intermediate exams seriously.
On the instruction of school education and literacy department secretary Uma Shankar Singhm strict action, including salary hold-up, will be taken against them that,” he said.There are a total of 122 high schools and 38 +2 schools across Garhwa district.
The number of teachers working in high school is 554 (TGT teachers) and in +2 schools the number is 202 (PGT teacher).
The ranking of Garhwa district under the state level is less than the expectation in all the three faculties — arts, Sscience and commerce.
Garhwa district got 16th rank in science, 21st rank in arts and 24th rank in commerce, sources in the district education department said.Stay updated with the latest Ranchi news.
