This includes students who were unsuccessful in examinations conducted by different education boards or the CBSE, those who discontinued their studies, and individuals who were unable to pursue regular schooling due to various circumstances.Open school follows a different result systemThe Rajasthan State Open School follows a different evaluation approach from conventional school boards. Students are not declared "failed" after the publication of results.Instead, candidates are categorised as either "fully passed" or "partially passed". Students who do not obtain the required marks in one or more subjects are allowed to reappear only for those subjects instead of repeating the entire examination.Candidates declared partially passed can register for the relevant papers in the upcoming Stream-2 or supplementary examinations. The system has been introduced to reduce the pressure associated with examination outcomes while allowing students to complete their qualifications through additional opportunities.Re-evaluation and on-demand examinationsFollowing the declaration of results, the Rajasthan State Open School will begin accepting online applications for re-evaluation. Students seeking re-evaluation of their answer scripts will have to submit their applications through the official State Open School admission portal.Apart from the regular examination schedule, RSOS also operates an on-demand examination system. Under this arrangement, students can appear for examinations according to their preparedness and convenience. The facility has been beneficial for working professionals, married women, students from rural areas and candidates returning to education after a long gap.Previous year's performanceIn the March-May 2025 examination cycle, 53,498 students registered for the Class 10 examinations. Of these, 35,575 appeared, while 16,400 candidates qualified, resulting in a pass percentage of 46.1%.For Class 12, a total of 49,499 students registered and 38,289 appeared for the examinations. Out of those candidates, 18,800 passed, taking the overall pass percentage to 49.1%.The 2026 results are expected to become available shortly after the official declaration programme concludes, following which students will be able to download their provisional marksheets from the official website.
