'No one is responsible for my death': 19-year-old NEET aspirant dies by suicide in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: A 19-year-old NEET aspirant allegedly died by suicide in Hyderabad's Miyapur area, police said on Sunday.The woman, who was staying with her sisters in an apartment in Miyapur, was found hanging on Saturday, according to police, according to news agency PTI.During the investigation, police recovered a note purportedly written by the deceased, in which she stated that "no one is responsible for her death".Based on preliminary findings, police suspect that the student may have taken the extreme step due to the pressure of the NEET re-examination scheduled for Sunday.In similar incident, a 22-year-old NEET aspirant allegedly died by suicide at his residence in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad district, police said on Saturday.

Investigators have recovered a video clip from his mobile phone that was purportedly recorded shortly before his death.The deceased, identified as Jatin Kumar, was a resident of Vijay Nagar and had been preparing for the NEET-UG examination.According to police, the purported video shows Jatin stating that he was not under any stress related to the NEET re-examination scheduled for Sunday.Family members told police that Jatin had been studying in his room until late Thursday night.

On Friday morning, when relatives went to wake him up, they found him unresponsive and immediately informed the authorities.A police team, along with forensic experts, reached the spot and began an investigation.

Officials said a noose tied to a ceiling fan was found in the room, while the body was lying on the floor.During the inquiry, police recovered a video from Jatin's mobile phone that was allegedly recorded shortly before his death.Assistant Commissioner of Police (Kotwali Nagar) Upasana Pandey said the video was being examined as part of the investigation.

Police are working to verify the authenticity of the recording and are looking into all circumstances surrounding the death.The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination, and further investigation is underway, Pandey said.
