NEET students told to take alternate routes near Metro work to avoid delays

Bhopal: Traffic police have issued an advisory for NEET-UG 2026 candidates appearing for the examination on Sunday, asking them to reach their centres well in advance and avoid delays caused by Metro construction work by taking alternate routes on some stretches.

The examination will be conducted at 32 centres across the city from 2 pm to 5.15 pm.Police advised candidates to leave home at least 30 minutes earlier than usual and identify their examination centres beforehand.Traffic police said Metro construction has narrowed roads leading to some examination centres and suggested alternate routes.Candidates heading to Government Higher Secondary School, Anand Nagar, from TT Nagar, MP Nagar, Kolar and Old City areas have been advised to take the Chetak Bridge-Govindpura-BHEL-Mahatma Gandhi Square-Piplani Petrol Pump route, as the stretch between Prabhat Square and Piplani has become congested due to Metro work.Similarly, candidates appearing at Government Geetanjali Girls PG College, Gautam Nagar, have been asked to avoid the narrow stretch between Sindhi Colony and DIG Bungalow Square via Qazi Camp.

They have been advised to approach the centre through Nadra Bus Stand-Agarwal Dharamshala-Chhola Ganesh Mandir-JP Bridge Trisection-DIG Bungalow Square.Traffic police said the use of loudspeakers and other sound amplification systems will be prohibited around examination centres to ensure a disturbance-free environment for candidates.Motorists have also been requested not to park vehicles near the centres so that examinees can reach their destinations without inconvenience.Police appealed to citizens to cooperate in maintaining smooth traffic movement.
