MP Yaduveer dismisses BJP cross-voting impact

Mysuru: Mysuru MP Yaduveer Wadiyar on Saturday said reports of cross-voting by a few BJP legislators in the recently concluded legislative council elections have no connection with the state BJP leadership and will not impact its functioning.Speaking to reporters, Yaduveer said the cross-voting would also not affect the BJP–JD(S) alliance. “The party has taken the matter seriously.

There is a system in place to identify those who indulged in cross-voting, and we will trace them,” he said.He added that such incidents are not uncommon when a different party is in power. “These are part of the political process.

Nothing is embarrassing about this, nor is it a setback for the party,” he said.Responding to home minister Priyank Kharge’s remarks on the RSS’s registration status, Yaduveer said the comments did not warrant a response. “He is free to raise questions as the home minister, but there is no need to respond to everything he says.
