Jon Snow’s wife speaks out about Alzheimer’s stigma in new Channel 4 documentary

Former Channel 4 news presenter Jon Snow, 78, has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.

His wife, epidemiologist Dr Precious Lunga, 51, expressed anger at people “writing off” her husband following his diagnosis.

The couple's experience with the diagnosis is explored in a new Channel 4 documentary titled Jon Snow: A Last Big Story.

Dr Lunga highlighted the significant stigma surrounding Alzheimer's disease, which she found particularly frustrating.

She emphasised that individuals with Alzheimer's can still be valuable members of society and contribute meaningfully.
