Jimmy Fallon criticised by top actor for Conor McGregor interview

Christina Ricci criticised Jimmy Fallon for featuring Conor McGregor on The Tonight Show last week, following the mixed martial arts fighter's 2024 sexual assault trial.

Ricci reshared an Instagram post by entrepreneur Adam McRae, which condemned Fallon for providing a platform to McGregor, citing severe bruising on the alleged victim.

McGregor lost an appeal last year after a civil jury found him liable for assault in a case where a woman accused him of "brutally raping and battering" her in a Dublin hotel in December 2018. McGregor had told the court he had consensual sex with the woman.

The jury awarded the woman 248,603 euros in damages, and McGregor was ordered to pay approximately 1.3 million euros in legal costs, though he continues to deny all allegations.

McGregor is scheduled to return to the UFC on 11 July to fight Max Holloway at UFC 329 in Las Vegas, marking his first fight in five years after a broken leg in 2021 and a backdated ban for missed drug tests.
