    Chatra: Unidentified thieves decamped with gold and silver ornaments, other valuables, and cash, totalling around Rs 8 lakh from the house of an Indian Air Force (IAF) officer located at Kamat village in Dariatua panchayat under the Sadar police station limits in Chatra, police said on Saturday.Satish Singh is posted in Agra.

    His father, Ranjit Singh, had locked the house on Friday evening and left for Panki in Palamu district to attend a tilak ceremony.Ranjit, in his complaint, alleged that he returned around 2.50 am on Saturday and find the main door and rooms open.
