GTA 6 pre-orders to start on June 25: Launch price, editions and other expected details

Rockstar Games recently announced that pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) will begin on June 25.

Now, just a day before the pre-orders are set to go live, the Take-Two-owned gaming studio has confirmed the game's pricing and launch editions, which will be released on November 19.

GTA 6 Standard Edition will cost $79.99 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

That’s $10 more than the $70 price point that many major console games have been adopting.

Rockstar has also announced an Ultimate Edition for $99.99.

GTA 6 will launch as a “single-player experience,” the company said, and it didn’t release any details about a future version of GTA Online.Pre-orders will open at midnight local time on June 25.

Separately, an online retailer listing (seen by The Game Spot) from Media Markt Poland has suggested that GTA 6 could launch in three editions: Standard Edition, Special Edition and Collector's Edition.

If accurate, players would be able to choose between higher frame rates and enhanced visual quality.

However, Rockstar has not confirmed these features, so they remain speculative for now.With pre-orders set to go live on June 25, speculation has also grown around the possible release of GTA 6 Trailer 3.

Several reports and online discussions suggest Rockstar could unveil a new trailer alongside the pre-order launch, though the company has not announced any plans to do so.The upcoming pre-order rollout follows months of discussion around GTA 6's pricing, with some industry analysts previously suggesting Rockstar could charge as much as $100 for the base version of the game.
