Lucknow: Initiating the process of fee waiver scheme, the secondary education department has sought details of tuition fees charged from students enrolled in classes IX to XII in private schools affiliated to CBSE, ICSE and UP Board from seven districts - Kanpur Nagar, Agra, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Meerut, Saharanpur and Lucknow.Joint secretary, secondary education department, Sanjay Kumar asked the director, secondary education and district inspector of schools (DIOS) of these seven districts to provide the details latest by June 25.This comes after the govt announced waiving the fee for one of the two sisters if both are studying in the same school.
The women welfare department has been shortlisted for implementation of the scheme.
