GHAZIABAD: A fire broke out at a shop in the Ashok Vatika area under the Ghaziabad Police Commissionerate on Tuesday.
No casualties were reported.According to fire officials, the Shalimar Garden (Sahibabad) fire station received information about the incident around 1. 30pm.The blaze erupted in a shop located near the Tila Mor police station.
The premises, reportedly used for key-making and incense stick (agarbatti) packing, contained a large quantity of cardboard material.Chief fire officer (Ghaziabad) Rahul Kumar said, “Two fire tenders were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Fire personnel initiated operations from two sides and broke open the locked shop to gain entry.”The blaze was brought under control and completely extinguished within about an hour, officials said.
