MUMBAI: Suburban train services on the Trans Harbour line were disrupted early Tuesday after a track cave-in caused by excessive water flow was reported between Turbhe and Koparkhairane stations on the Thane–Vashi section.Railway officials said the up line (towards Thane) was declared unsafe at 5.06 am after the cave-in was detected.

Subsequently, the down line (towards Vashi/Panvel) was also declared unsafe at 5.50 am as a precautionary measure.Restoration work was immediately undertaken by railway personnel.

The up line was certified safe for train operations at 7.27 am, with a speed restriction of 10 kmph imposed.

The down line was declared safe at 7.35 am, with trains allowed to operate at a restricted speed of 30 kmph.Officials attributed the cave-in to excessive water flow following heavy rainfall in the area.

Train services were regulated during the restoration work, resulting in delays on the corridor.Railway authorities said operations have resumed on both lines, though some residual delays may continue until services return to normal. You Can Also Check: Gold Rate in Mumbai | Silver Rate in Mumbai | Bank Holidays in Mumbai | Public Holidays in Mumbai | Mumbai AQI | Weather in Mumbai | Petrol Price in Mumbai | Diesel Price in Mumbai | CNG Price in Mumbai | LPG Price in MumbaiStay updated with the latest Mumbai news.
