    BENGALURU: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday conducted searches at multiple locations in Karnataka in connection with an alleged excise department corruption case.Among the premises searched was that of Y Manjunath, an additional commissioner in the excise department and brother-in-law of Karnataka PWD minister Satish Jarkiholi, news agency PTI reported.Officials said around 18 locations in Belagavi, Bengaluru, and Mysuru districts were raided with CRPF security cover.

    Premises linked to a deputy commissioner-rank officer and other excise department staff were also searched.ED registered the case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act after taking cognisance of a Lokayukta Police FIR, PTI reported.Manjunath is the son of former Bellari MP Y Devendrappa.
