CURE1 to enable single-window civic payments in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: To streamline citizen services and improve ease of payments, the state govt has decided to implement CURE1 (Common Unified Billing and Collection System), a single digital platform that will integrate the payment of multiple govt dues and service charges across the core urban region, eliminating the need for multiple portals.The integrated platform will initially cover municipal revenues collected by urban local bodies, including property tax, trade licence fees, self-assessment charges, superstructure fees and vacant land tax under the jurisdiction of GHMC, CMC and MMC.In addition to municipal collections, the platform will also facilitate payment of electricity bills issued by TGSPDCL.

The initiative aims to enhance convenience for citizens, improve collection efficiency for govt departments and create a seamless digital ecosystem for urban service delivery.The platform will also help in payment of water and sewerage charges of Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB), linked through Consumer Account Number (CAN), as well as traffic challans issued by Hyderabad traffic police through the Centralised Challan Management System (CCMS).

Any other services, levies or collections as may be notified by the govt from time to time, upon recommendation of the steering committee.The app will facilitate the integration of citizens’ mobile numbers for seamless OTP authentication, payment alerts, nudge communications and service delivery.
