Prayagraj: Workers of City and Yamunapar Congress Committees on Wednesday held BJP led union and state governments responsible for the alleged theft of offerings and donations at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.Party workers staged a protest and demonstration at the district collectorate on Wednesday.
Following the call given by the Uttar Pradesh Congress committee, workers led by city president Fuzail Hashmi marched towards the district magistrate’s office raising slogans against government.Congress leaders alleged that the a group of people, entrusted with the responsibility by the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister, were involved in the alleged misappropriation.
Demanding an FIR lodged against the accused, they also questioned the functioning and monitoring system of the Temple Trust.The Congress workers demanded a comprehensive probe into the matter .
They also demanded that CCTV footage and other relevant documents related to the incident be preserved and that the administration of the temple be handed over to an administrative officer.eomStay updated with the latest Prayagraj news.
