Closing in on suspects in woman’s murder case: Police

Ranchi: Investigation into the alleged murder of a 28-year-old woman is in its last stage and the perpetrators will be apprehended soon, police said on Tuesday.

Rekha Kumari’s body was recovered from a jungle under Tupudana police outpost limits on Sunday.

Hatia DSP Neeraj Kumar told TOI, “We are very close to solving the case and the perpetrators will be nabbed soon.

Forensic and post-mortem reports are awaited to ascertain whether she was raped.”Rekha was missing since June 19, and her body recovered near 10 Mile.

The body had injury marks on the head and face.

Rekha was a mother of two and her husband works in Chatra district, police said.Stay updated with the latest Ranchi news.
