The National Testing Agency (NTA) has clarified the controversy involving a Nagpur-based Re-NEET 2026 aspirant who was allotted an examination centre in Abu Dhabi. According to the agency, a review of web activity logs showed that the examination city was changed through the candidate's own registered login during the correction window. NTA said the candidate accessed the portal three times, changed the city to Abu Dhabi during the first login, and previewed the updated application details twice before final submission. The agency stated that there was no indication of unauthorised access or a technical error. Despite this, after receiving a request from the student's family just days before the examination, NTA processed a centre change to Nagpur and reiterated that its priority is ensuring no candidate misses the examination due to administrative concerns.
