Khargone: The body of an area sales manager, who was missing from Indore since Monday night, was recovered from the Narmada river in Khargone district on Wednesday afternoon.Mandleshwar police station in-charge Pankaj Tiwari told TOI the body of 50-year-old Nishant Joshi, a resident of Rajendra Nagar in Indore, was found in the Narmada river near Gandhi Nagar in Mandleshwar police station area.

His family members identified the body around 3 pm on Wednesday. He said Joshi, working as an area sales manager in a petrochemical company in Indore, had been missing since Monday evening.

His company's car was found the same night parked on the Narmada bridge at Mandleshwar.During a search of the vehicle, police recovered a liquor bottle, two bags and a handwritten note addressed to his cousin Dr Vivek Joshi, working in a private hospital in Indore.

The note reportedly requested Dr Vivek and his wife to take care of his daughter.

A file found inside the vehicle also indicated that Nishant was undergoing treatment with a psychiatrist, he said. After police contacted the phone number mentioned in the note, Dr Vivek and Nishant's wife arrived in Mandleshwar on Tuesday morning.Suspecting that Nishant might have jumped into the river, authorities deployed a team of the State Disaster Response Force, or SDRF, to conduct a search operation.

However, no trace of him was found on Tuesday, said Tiwari.Quoting family members, Tiwari said Joshi previously left home without informing anyone, and therefore his disappearance did not initially raise serious concern.Tiwari further said that Nishant's wife is a superintendent of police (narcotics) in Mandsaur district.

He said the exact cause of death would be ascertained after the postmortem examination. You Can Also Check: Gold Rate in Indore | Silver Rate in Indore | Bank Holidays in Indore | Public Holidays in Indore | Petrol Price in Indore | Diesel Price in Indore | CNG Price in Indore | LPG Price in IndoreStay updated with the latest Indore news.
