Asia is warming nearly twice as fast as it did only a generation ago.The pace of warming across the continent during 1991-2025 was almost double that recorded between 1961 and 1990, according to the World Meteorological Organisation's (WMO) State of the Climate in Asia 2025 report.
The year 2025 ranked among the four warmest ever recorded in the region, with temperatures almost 1°C above the 1991-2020 average.
