Actor Iain Robertson convicted of five offences against women including rape

Actor Iain Robertson, 45, has been found guilty of rape following a trial at the High Court in Glasgow.

He was convicted of a total of five offences against a number of women, which occurred between 2004 and 2019.

The rape took place between 2018 and 2019, with the victim testifying that she did not consent to the act.

Robertson, who previously starred in River City, denied any wrongdoing during the trial, claiming he was aware of consent.

Sentencing for Robertson is scheduled to take place at the High Court in Edinburgh on 23 July.
