7 top Hong Kong restaurants offering fine food at bargain prices this summer

Hong Kong has a tantalising variety of restaurants, serving everything from Cantonese to Italian to Thai food. But many residents face the challenge of balancing indulgence with fiscal responsibility. It can be difficult to manage your budget while treating yourself to a good time.
To help, we have provided a quick overview of some of the best and most affordable upscale summer menus in town. These menus will give you a chance to elevate your date night or romanticise your everyday existence with culinary adventures that are elegant yet accessible.

This long-lived Happy Valley restaurant, which debuted its own caviar earlier this year, is offering a six-course Amigo Caviar Indulgence menu until the end of June.
The caviar, harvested from sturgeon in Heilongjiang in northeast China, is served in an ornate metal tin engraved with the sun symbol of the restaurant.

The meal, priced at HK$980 (US$125) per person, starts with a personal tin of the new speciality caviar, followed by the soup course. After that, guests choose one seafood dish and one meat dish, with seafood options including Chilean sea bass with broccolini, champagne cream and Amigo caviar. The meat dishes include Australian Wagyu ox cheek and a roasted lamb loin, among others.
Quiche Lorraine is the fourth dish, serving as a palate cleanser for the finale – a jasmine mousse with strawberry jelly and laurel syrup.
As an added bonus, guests who order the package are also offered 50 per cent off a takeaway order of Amigo Caviar.
