Kanpur: A 55-year-old man was killed when a speeding car collided with his motorcycle on the Ramganga canal road, near Chamatpur-Barakheda village in the Shivli police station jurisdiction on Wednesday.
Bauvan Sengar, aged 55, a resident of Chamatpur village, was riding his bike towards Kisannagar on Wednesday.
Family members reported that as he reached the Ramganga canal road, a fast-moving car struck his motorcycle from behind.
He succumbed to his injuries.
Following the incident, the driver fled the scene, abandoning the vehicle.
Enraged over the tragic incident, family members and local residents placed the deceased’s body on the road, blocking traffic for an extended period.
