5 new cafes and coffee shops to try in Hong Kong in April 2026

The Easter long weekend marks the perfect time to check out a number of Hong Kong’s latest coffee shops, although if you work in Sheung Wan or Kwun Tong you will definitely want to mark some of these down for when you need a break from the office.
Apart from enjoying these five new openings, coffee fans should take note of this weekend (April 3-6), which sees the return of Coffee HK at West Kowloon. More than 80 international coffee and cafe brands – including Shanghai’s Captain George Flavor Museum, Tokyo’s Glitch and Fuglen, and Seoul’s Default Value – will converge in Hong Kong for the four-day caffeine festival.
1. Anchor Coffee

Busy workers in Sheung Wan district can count themselves lucky to have this small takeaway-only spot located right beside exit B of Sheung Wan MTR station. Soft open since mid-March, the cafe sells coffee at competitive prices – HK$25 (US$3.20) for an Americano and HK$30 for latte. It will soon be introducing a small range of cakes and pastries to satisfy your breakfast or afternoon treat cravings.

2. Fruit Brew Coffee

Last summer, iced coffee with orange juice was trending around the world – and now, we have a cafe that leans into the niche category of fruit-based coffee drinks. In addition to the viral drink, Fruit Brew Coffee in Tai Kok Tsui has introduced creations such as the apple black and apple cloud latte. For those who enjoy more fruity notes – rather than actual fruit juice – in their coffee, it also features a range of light roasts with characteristics such as honeydew sweetness, and the usual line-up of drip and espresso-based drinks.

3. Reaction Coffee

Located in Kwun Tong’s Citi Tower, the third branch of Hong Kong roastery cafe Reaction Coffee is a peaceful haven for enjoying a brew while vinyl records play in the background. Known for its single origin coffees, the cafe also makes a statement with its diverse range of beans, beautifully displayed in glass jars for sniffing, as well as its glowing wall of drip bag coffees available for purchase.

4. Yelo Cake Coffee

This is one for those who enjoy the sweeter things in life. The new cafe in Hung Hom is the first physical space by online cake shop NovemberSix Bakery, so you can expect its wholesome range of house-made cakes and dessert-like drinks. Its signature is the apple pie latte, made with a double shot of espresso over apple cinnamon milk, topped with fresh whipped cream, a sprinkle of cinnamon and a dried apple slice.

5. In:joi Coffee

After its photogenic original in Wan Chai comes In:joi Coffee’s second branch in Tai Hang, which takes over a corner spot that is perfectly poised for people-watching over coffee, matcha and house-made bagels. The menu features a number of indulgent creations, such as a pineapple bun sandwiching a slab of foie gras pâté, and a chocolate and banana granola bowl.
