LOHARDAGA: A wedding trip turned tragic for a family in Jharkhand's Lohardaga district after three siblings, including two sisters, were killed when a truck collided head-on with the scooter they were travelling on Friday night, police said.The accident took place near Mission Chowk on the Lohardaga-Gumla Main Road as the siblings were on their way to attend a wedding."Two sisters died on the spot, while their 25-year-old brother, Rohit Kumar Sahu, succumbed to his injuries en route to RIMS Ranchi.
They hailed from Barwatoli village," Lohardaga police station's officer-in-charge Ratnesh Mohan Thakur said.Police said the truck was travelling towards Lohardaga from Senha, whereas the trio was travelling in the opposite direction.The truck has been seized, but its driver fled the spot and is absconding.After post-mortem examinations, victims' bodies were handed over to their family.
