Khargone: A 22-year-old man died of burns after his two-wheeler caught fire following a head-on collision with a mini truck on the Khandwa-Vadodara National Highway under Jaitapur police station limits in Khargone district.Jaitapur police station in-charge Sudarshan Kalosiya said, the accident occurred late Tuesday night near Gawadi Fata when the man, Akhilesh, resident of Gopalpur village under Bistan police station limits., was travelling from Khandwa to Khargone.
His motorcycle collided with an oncoming mini truck.
The impact of the collision was so severe that the motorcycle got lodged in the front portion of the truck and was dragged for some distance along the highway."Friction generated while the vehicle was being dragged is believed to have sparked a fire in the motorcycle, and the rider was trapped in the incident and was engulfed by the flames.
By the time the mini truck came to a halt, Akhilesh succumbed to his injuries," Kalosiya said.He said the mini truck was seized.
