Uttar Pradesh accounts for the highest number of candidates, with 3.6 lakh aspirants set to appear for the exam, followed by Maharashtra at 2.2 lakh.
Rajasthan, Bihar, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu have each registered more than one lakh candidates.Southern states continue to have a strong representation among NEET aspirants.
Karnataka has recorded 1.5 lakh registrations, followed by Tamil Nadu at 1.4 lakh, Kerala at 1.1 lakh and Telangana with over 73,000 candidates.English remains the dominant medium of examination, with over 18 lakh candidates opting for it.
